Our Mission

To provide the children of New Mexico with a quality creative problem-solving program, giving them an opportunity to learn to use teamwork and creativity skills to solve complex problems.

Destination ImagiNation® is an international organization for kindergarten through college students, teaching them life skills and expanding their imaginations through team based creative problem solving.

Our Profile

Creative Programs of New Mexico, Inc. sponsors the premier creative problem solving program for students from kindergarten through college in New Mexico. Working in teams, students learn to think "out of the box," by creating and demonstrating unique solutions to interesting and motivating problems.

Destination ImagiNation® was formed by dedicated volunteers to continue to provide a quality creative problem solving program at an international level. For more information, check out our FAQs page.

The New Mexico Destination ImagiNation program is sponsored by Creative Programs of New Mexico, Inc. (CPNMI), a non-profit organization. Some of the services offered by the CPNMI include training sessions for Team Managers and Officials, notification of statewide activities, and ImagiNM the State Championship Tournament.

In order to participate in the ImagiNMtournament, a membership must be purchased for your team. Use the National DI Passport Application on the Destination Imagination® website. Remember, it can take a week or two to receive your membership packet after mailing or FAXing your application, so send it as soon as possible. You must also fill out the New Mexico State Registration Form to let us know that you'll be competing with us.

 

Membership materials are distributed on a CD, which includes:
  • Each of the five Challenges
  • Rules of the Road (the rules)
  • Team Manager's Guide
  • Parent Guide
  • Coordinator's Guide
  • Other material
In addition, you and your teams will be eligible for:
  • Team Manager trainings (including materials)
  • Officials trainings (including materials)
  • Year-round DI information and resources
  • Opportunity for team to participate in ImagiNM, the New Mexico DI tournament
